Even when you're in full-acceptance-of-life mode, you still have the choice to re-write the script.
This was very good. Thanks for sharing!
you're welcome!
And............
From Lemons..........
We have Lemonade.
Simply the best
yes!... xo
Lots of time/effort/energy studying/learning/evaluating data in preparing to create (from nothing) a presentation.
Lots of time/effort/energy creating the presentation.
Lots of time/effort/energy practicing ahead of the live presentation.
Lots of time/effort/energy coordinating with the production team to ensure everything was set.
Lots of time/effort/energy thinking of and assessing who the audience would be to ensure the content was worthy of their time.
And in reality, the list is endless (clothing/make-up/shoes/stage coordination).
And then the moment arrives:
5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and.....................("Houston, we have") nothing .
Now what?
What would most do with all of that preparation and pressure to deliver?
Most would potentially go into massive anxiety, stress, panic and potentially anger at anyone/everyone.
Not a pretty picture for the presenter, the production team, the audience.
And what did you do..................instead?
You gave pause.
You gave acceptance.
You managed to release all of the tension of the moment (for everyone) and allow calmness to set in.
And then, with clear thinking/presence of mind, you offered a solution that was a 'win' for everyone.
The production team had a moment to reset.
You had a moment to reset.
The audience had a moment to reset.
And away you went.
Offering a personal moment of a sharing of your life, delighting the crowd, and creating a safe space for the production team to settle and restart.
The delay passed as a delightful enhancement to the ultimate "gift of a presentation" the audience ultimately received.
As they say in Spain; "BRAVO".
