🎙️ My guest today is Lawrence Lepard, the founder and managing partner of Equity Management Associates, a fierce advocate for sound money and a respected voice in the world of gold, Bitcoin, and monetary policy.
I just finished listening to this episode and as expected it was amazing. As I mentioned on your X short, his statement “Think of the financial system as the Titanic. Yes I got my seat on the lifeboat for $10k, and for you it is $100k. Do you want the seat?” was one of the most impactful statements of the episode IMO. I immediately wrote this down and will be using it on my friends/family. While many of your recent guests have been new to me, I have seen Larry speak at conferences, heard him on podcasts, read his book, and actually had the pleasure of speaking with him in Nashville last summer. He is a very nice and genuine guy who has “seen it all” during his career, truly understands what is going on in the Fiat world today, and has an amazing ability to communicate it to others. I’ve read countless Bitcoin books and IMO his is by far the best at telling the overall story (in a simple way, that anyone can understand) of what is happening, the history of how we got here and the solution (Bitcoin). And it truly is written as a story with a beginning, middle and end. Your interview covered a lot of ground and is a great way for people to understand many key points and why he wrote the book. Cannot recommend this episode and his book enough!
